Ingredients

  • 1  duck, weighing about 4½ lbs
  • 5  cloves,
  • 2  bay leaves,
  • 3 Tbsp red wine vinegar,
  • 7  prunes, soaked for a couple of hours in 3 Tbsp brandy
  • 2 Tbsp sugar,

German red cabbage cooked and then stuffed into a duck.
